I will say, our expectations were unfortunately not met. This was our first Cirque du Soleil show so we had high expectations. There is a pre-show that helps explain the show a bit (and it is entertaining), so try to be in your seat about 15 minutes before show time.īiggest complaint of our visit: the only way to get a souvenir cup is to purchase an alcoholic drink. Try to be as centered to the midline of the stage as possible. The way that this show is staged, I actually recommend getting the cheaper seats in the back of the auditorium. Because this is a cerebral show, it may not be the greatest option for those looking for thrilling acts or for younger members of the family. There are several moments that are wonderfully done with the beauty being in the subtly of the performance. If you go in understanding it is a different approach to the production, you will fall in love.

It is an intellectual show, not a thrilling show like it's predecessor. This show is a very different approach to Cirque and some traditional elements are missing however, it is a beautiful show and the integration of Disney animation is smartly done. I'll preference by saying I am avid Cirque fan and have seen many of their productions, including permanent and traveling shows. This was a nice break from the theme parks. We had our e-tickets printed at the box office for our souvenirs. It seemed like a lot of what they sold was for other Cirque shows or Cirque du Soleil in general. I wish they had more merchandise that was specifically for this show. They weaved Disney animation into the whole show. We especially liked the 'death defying' acts. The show was a nice mix of Disney and acrobatics. And then they put up their drawings on screens. While waiting for the show to begin, it was nice to see performers getting children from the audience to come up on stage to draw. Other than a handful of seats on the edges, most were taken. We were actually surprised how many people came to the show. It was in Disney Springs and our hotel was close by so we were able to walk over. The tickets aren't cheap ($120 each) but we had never seen a Cirque du Soleil show before and we love Disney, so this was perfect.
